Sky Glass – Looking Beyond The Product

In October last year Sky made the bold move of launching its own TV, Sky Glass with a companion camera to follow in 2022 which will unlock new possibilities for what you can do with a TV.
I had the pleasure of working on this product with my consultancy Door. Our role was to explore what else you could do with a TV. It was one of the best things I have worked on. A great team, a brilliant and bold client, and something shipped to market.
Sky Glass has received a lot of attention since its launch but for me the fact Sky was able to launch its own TV is almost more interesting than the product itself. Here is a blog post I wrote about what this launch says about Sky and this is what I would be worried about if I was their competition.
